We are looking forward to a full line-up of a variety of genres of live music at Sandringham Food Festival, so why not grab a real ale and something to eat from the Piazza, and head over to our music stage where you can relax and enjoy the music – and hopefully the sunshine!
Bill Bailey Band
Get your feet tapping with the Bill Bailey Band as they present you with a selection of Traditional Jazz numbers. Live both Saturday and Sunday in the Music Marquee
Hot House Saxaphonix
A group of young musicians, recently back from a tour of some of the top jazz clubs in New York and New Orleans – who will bring the ambiance and life of saxophone music to Sandringham Food Festival. Be warned though: we struggle to contain them to our music tent and you could meet them on a walkabout anywhere!
Songs, ayres, jigs and jollies from around Europe and across the centuries, played and sung with ancient, traditional and modern instruments
Hurdy-gurdy, small-pipes, guitar, ukulele, keyboard, whistles, bagpipes, crumhorn, saxophones, recorder, curtal chalumeau, rauschpfeife shawm, percussion and vocals
Come and find out!
Chanter’s Jigge will also be running workshops where young musicians can try some of their musical instruments for themselves and maybe even take part in a Tudor dance.
Somewhere on site (and probably near the Real Ale marquee) the Thameside Mummers will be performing their traditional English dramas. Will George kill the dragon? Will the Derbyshire Tup survive another show? Will it be something completely different? Who knows?! But you will find yourselves strangely drawn in to their unique brand of nonsense.
Kings Morris Men
Performing a number of times at various places around the site, the Kings Morris Men bring you traditional English entertainment.
