The Second Sandringham Food and Drink Festival!
Sandringham Estate, Kings Lynn, Norfolk PE35 6EN
Our second food festival in Sandringham, and after a fantastic festival last year we are delighted to be welcoming an awesome lineup of celebrity chefs; Theo Randall & Daniel Clifford (Saturday) John Torode & Lisa Faulkner (Sunday), Jimmy Buchan and Holly Bell (both days). All held together by the inimitable Mark Lloyd. (Click here for main stage timings)
In between chefs you will have time to browse our enormous food tents, offering a huge selection of different foods, drink and cookery gadgets. With a try before you buy approach, it’s best not to have too big a breakfast before you arrive!
In the smaller Food Roadshow marquee we also have a full line-up of chefs and producers to entertain you. The Crabstock Boys will be weaving tales of the sea, and showing you how to cook what you catch; Linda Hewett will be demonstrating the art of bread making; and Naomi Hansell will be back with some top tips from Na’s Kitchen
We will have a well stocked Real Ale Tent, with a variety of local ales for you to sample – and of course a few other drinks should you wish. There will also be a regular Wine Tasting class with Brothers’ Wines. Always popular!
There will be the usual piazza area, where you can browse the many foods on offer, both local and global, listen to some of the live music from Saxophonix, The Bill Bailey Band and James Cussens, and enjoy a pint of real ale in the sunshine (hopefully)!
You may also want to take advantage of our Fruit De Mer restaurant, new for 2016, and enjoy a sea food lunch (bookings taken ahead of show).
The Bushtucker Challenge is back, the one part of the festival where the food on offer isn’t exactly appetising, but stay and see who can stomach the cockroaches and tarantulas!
Of course there is plenty to do for all the family, with children’s amusements and absorbing make and take craft workshops. Moment In Time Living History enactors will be demonstrating cookery before the times of microwaves and woks: watch them in action and take a recipe card with ideas for your next open fire
There’s a craft marquee with various artists both selling and demonstrating their pieces: glassblowing demonstrations on the hour, and chainsaw carving throughout the day, with speed carves twice daily.
Come and enjoy the sights, sounds and tastes of the second Sandringham Food and Drink Festival!
