A food festival wouldn’t be a food festival without Mark Lloyd holding it all together in the main food theatre. However, as well as being a most excellent presenter, Mark is himself a talented chef.

Renowned for his British wild food knowledge and true farm to fork ethos, he honed his skills in top establishments both in the UK and Europe. These skills saw him head up the first River Cottage Canteen.
Mark has a passion for shooting, fishing and foraging, also has reared his own livestock, set up chemical free kitchen gardens, poly tunnels and even a heritage orchard. Mark also has an amazing understanding of kitchen gardens and animal husbandry, utilizing every part of the animal and also a lot of the weeds!!!
His talents don’t end there, writing features on wild food for some of the top food publications, including BBC Good Food Magazine, Harrods, Elle, Countryside Alliance and NFU magazine. He was also Brand Ambassador/Executive Chef for premium appliance company Miele for 2010-2012.
Mark creates amazing recipes with the best offered by Britain’s larder. Appearing on TV shows such as River Cottage during his tenure as Head Chef, but also on Great British Waste Menu, Market Kitchen, Hairy Bikers and live slots on BBC Breakfast, News 24, Worldwide and Channel 5 News as a food expert. He has also made radio appearances on BBC Radio Oxford, Worcester, Leicester, Coventry, Sussex and Warwickshire and 5 Live.And most recently, he has just finished travelling the breadth of the US for Chef Race UK vs US, a show shown on BBC America, now sold to Sky One.
An experienced presenter, seen at Masterchef Live, BBC Good Food show, Grand Designs live, cooking with celebrities such as Kevin McCloud, Ideal Home show and regional country shows.
Mark also runs a training consultancy, wild food and foraging classes, teaches bespoke cookery classes and runs dining events.
