We are delighted to present, in our live music tent at Nottingham Food Festival 2016:
The Bill Bailey Band (1pm/4pm)
Debuting with us this year, The Bill Bailey Band is a Jazz band focusing mainly on New Orleans, Traditional and Dixieland styles but with the versatility to offer almost any Jazz style. Our principal aim is to entertain by providing happy foot-tapping live music for any event. We have performed all over the UK, at such prestigious events as The Upton on Severn Jazz Festival, The CLA Game Fair and The IWA Boat Festival. The band has also performed on the European mainland, in France, Spain and Holland where we were voted “most entertaining band” at the Enkhuisen Jazz Festival.
Ellie Keegan (12pm/3pm)
Back with us for her second year, and known for her soft-folk, acoustic, “one-man band” kind of music, Ellie has been writing music for the last 6 months with a view of recording and releasing an EP in the very near future. Her eclectic and soulful-indie tones, paired with raw lyrics and melodies captivate even the largest of audiences, leaving them silenced. Having just released a charity single, ‘Watch The Poppies Grow’ in aid of the Lee Bonsall Memorial Fund, The Royal British Legion, and Warsop’s “Real Poppy” Campaign, she is currently working towards raising as much money and awareness for the support of our ex-service personnel.
Back with us for their third year, Saxophonix is a talented band of young musicians, recently back from Paris and currently preparing for their American tour. If not in the Live Music Tent, you will hear them before you see them as they tend to go walkabout around the festival! A variety of music from jazz through to ‘Little Mix’ and all in their own unique style
